Debate in the Assembly/ Berisha 'clashes' with Felaj

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha

Today's parliamentary session was accompanied by debates between the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Ermonela Felaj.

Berisha went to the floor of the Assembly and asked to speak, but Felaj interrupted him and asked him to vacate the floor.

Excerpts from the debate:

Sali Berisha:  Your leader should be here and tell the citizens that...(speaks without a microphone)

Ermonela Felaj: You are without a microphone and have occupied the pulpit. You will have the word that you are registered in the list of discussants and tell them this when it is your turn, do not ask for the word about procedure. Please sit down, return to your seat.

Sali Berisha:  You tell Albanians not to wash their clothes at 90 degrees.

Ermonela Felaj: Go back to your seat, occupying the pulpit is against the law. What is this mania to conquer, sit down. Do not insult people in the Parliament, when it's your turn to speak, speak./ BA - CNA.al
