Basha does Rama's next service/ He joins the majority

Lulzim Basha has done the next service for the majority and Prime Minister Edi Rama.

He has united his man Enkelejd Alibeaj with Damian Gjiknuri of the Socialist Party. These last two, with a joint letter, addressed the OSCE/ODIHR mission.

Alibeaj and Gjiknuri have asked the OSCE/ODIHR mission to place their experts near the Electoral Reform commission.

Let us first express our thanks and deep gratitude for the contribution that the OSCE/ODIHR has made during these years for the development and consolidation of democracy in Albania and specifically in one of its important foundations, such as the elections. With decision no. 12, dated 10.02.2022, amended, the Assembly of Albania has approved the establishment of the Special Parliamentary Commission for the implementation of the Electoral Reform. The commission is tasked with drafting legislative changes for the electoral reform, in particular dealing with the recommendations of the OSCE/ODIHR reports for the elections of April 25, 2021 and for the previous unaddressed elections, the recommendations of the institutions responsible for the elections, of the parliamentary political parties and non-profit organizations.

For this reason, just as we agreed with representatives of the OSCE/ODIHR in the meeting held in December 2023, where we discussed the work of the Commission and the need for the expertise of the ODIHR to be made available to the Commission, we are pleased that on behalf of To the Special Parliamentary Commission for the Implementation of the Electoral Reform, we present the request to contribute with experts in the field of elections, from the ODIHR, to assist the work of this Commission.

The communication method of the experts designated by you, with the Electoral Reform Commission, can be determined following our further cooperation.
