Barometer: Deputies completely disconnected from citizens, half do not know them

During the period November 15 - November 25, 2024 Datacentrum and Barometer - Euronews Albania has asked face to face 1000 citizens throughout Albania regarding their assessment of the current deputies in the Parliament of Albania.

The survey findings show that:

More than half of the citizens do not know their MP.

Asked by the Euronews Barometer - Albania, 53% of citizens do not know the name of the member of parliament in their area. Regarding the contacts of the MPs with the citizens before and after the elections, 74.7% of the citizens indicate that they were not contacted by the MPs before the elections, while even more 84.6% of them indicate that they were not contacted by them after the elections.

More than half of the citizens think that the deputies are not active.

More than half of the citizens, 52.3% of them who know their MPs indicate that they have not heard them speak in the Parliament and to the same extent they estimate that the MPs have not kept the promises given in the campaign.

More than half of the citizens say that they would not vote for the same deputies again in the next elections.

Asked about their re-candidacy by the party, 53.3% of citizens think that the party they support should not re-candidate them. Meanwhile, 57.3% of them indicate that they would not vote for them if they were the same candidates for deputies on the lists.
