The chairman of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, raises accusations that the Port of Durrës is an affair that has traces as far as Ecuador and Colombia.

Through a status on social networks, Bardhi declares that the issue of the Port of Durrës should be seriously investigated by the Special Prosecutor's Office.

He also announced that he will request a parliamentary investigation for the DP Group.

"The affair of the Port of Durrës, which according to the serious investigations of the German media has traces that go as far as Ecuador and Colombia, is one of the biggest affairs of Edi Rama and Belinda Balluk, which must be investigated seriously and without any delay. For this purpose, at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party, it was decided to request a full parliamentary investigation on this affair.

Transparency on public assets and especially the verification and cutting of links of organized crime with major strategic projects of the country, should be the mission of the Assembly in the remaining period of this Legislature.

The DP Parliamentary Group urges the Special Prosecutor's Office to investigate and verify all the investigations carried out on this scandalous corruption affair, which is suspected of having ties to interstate organized crime, as soon as possible and without any hesitation," Bardhi underlines./ CNA
