After the end of the government meeting today, Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku announced that within the Albanian ministry there will be a new department that focuses on innovation.

Balluku emphasized that the creation of innovation nuclei in the ministries was a request of the Prime Minister born out of the innovative developments taking place in Albania.

The number two of the government added that salaries for this sector will be higher than for other sectors.

Among other things, Balluku announced that everything will be done by the fall so that these innovation nuclei are located within each ministry.

 " Very constructive meeting, more conversations with plans and programs for the future. The creation of innovation nuclei in the ministries, a request of the Prime Minister born out of the innovative developments taking place in Albania.

Albania now operates with modern technology, such as satellites.

Having these technological developments, the need has arisen for us to have innovation nuclei within our ministries, which will propose new projects. We will need to enter the Albanian market to absorb as many people as possible given to innovation. In order to be as competitive as possible, knowing the salaries for this sector, we have certainly decided to apply it as we have done with some categories of the administration to be paid with higher salaries than other sectors.

In the following days we will have the opportunity to have them available within each ministry within the autumn. Today we also discussed a common location of each of these nuclei.

International good practices. In the future, we will inform the public about this decision-making by the Albanian government to give innovation a breather as much as possible", stated Balluku./ CNA
