"Autocrat who controls everything"/ Bushati: If not threatened from

Analyst Andi Bushati said today that in the current position in which Prime Minister Edi Rama finds himself, he controls everything like an autocrat.

Invited to "Syri TV", Bushati stated that Rama has gained political strength and that if he is not threatened from abroad, he can rule the country for another two decades.

"In my opinion, we have signals that can be interpreted, but we do not have clarity that there is an isolation or an international blow to Edi Rama.

Especially from the Europeans, what we have received signals is the issue of Balluk. And the problem arises, if Rama hands over Belinda Balluk tomorrow or Wednesday or Thursday, do we still have a problem with Rama and the EU?

So far, without the Balluk issue coming up, we have had zero problems. If the Balluk issue is resolved, as Germany or the Netherlands are demanding, will we have any more problems?

I don't know if we could have a problem. So, we are too quick to say there is a problem between Rama and the EU.

As for America, yes, it is evident that Edi Rama does not have the same relationship as he had with the Democratic administration. But on the other hand, it is difficult to say that there is an administration that is hitting Rama.

And in my opinion, Rama has become so strong in Albania, an autocrat who controls everything, that today he no longer needs the support of internationals, today he simply needs the neutrality of internationals.

If there is a Brussels that says reforms are continuing, those group chapters are continuing, and an America that doesn't hit him over the head with a hammer, even if it doesn't want to, Rama is the most privileged man.

Because here he has closed all the valves of democracy and if he is not supported, if he is not threatened from abroad, he can rule here for another two decades. So in this sense, I do not see that Rama still feels threatened by the internationals", Bushati said. /CNA
