'Fiscal amnesty will take place'/ Rama answers the opposition: Who are
Prime Minister Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama has responded to the opposition regarding the fiscal amnesty and declared with conviction that the fiscal amnesty will take place.

In a statement to the media, Rama said that the opposition is nobody to prejudice 99% of Albanians because of the 1% who are part of drug trafficking and the underworld.

“Ne nuk jemi tërhequr, por diskutojmë dhe dëgjojmë për të sheshuar keqkuptimet. Amnistia fiskale do të bëhet, e përsëris, sepse e kërkojnë shumica e shqiptarëve, e keni parë dhe në këshillimin kombëtar, nëse i keni vënë re të gjitha pikat e këshillimit kombëtar ose kanë hyrë në rrugën e zgjidhjes… Unë mendoj se nëse politikanëve në Shqipëri u është dhënë e drejta të gabojnë më shumë se një herë, nëse kemi një parti që është financuar me para të një vend armik të demokracisë, nëse në atë parti sot kemi në krye defakto një person non-grata për të gjitha të zezat nga SHBA, dhe nëse me radhë mund të marrim të tjerë e të tjera që vazhdojnë të jenë në skenë, atëherë kush jemi ne?!

What right do we have to deprive hundreds of thousands of Albanians of the right to formalize their illegal income in foreign countries? Why? And who are we to prejudice the 99% of Albanians because of the 1% that is part of all the bad things that have to do with organized crime.

Who are they who tell us that Albania cannot do this, that they say that Albanians are criminals? I do not blame them because it is our politicians who have destroyed our image to fight the opponent here at the cost paid by the Albanians. Albania has its bigots like any country, but what some Albanians do to themselves, no enemy has done to them, here I also add those who take it upon themselves to be the catalyst of public truths that contribute to fog and lies", emphasized the head of government./ BA - CNA.al
