Today, Enkelejd Alibeaj of the Democratic Party of Vula held a meeting with the Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar.

Through a status on social networks, Alibeaj shows the issues he discussed with Escobar.

They discussed the local elections of May 14, as well as the developments of the last few months within the DP.

"Today I held a meeting with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary for European Affairs, and the Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Mr. Gabriel Escobar.

Gjatë bisedës prekëm tema të rëndësishme të zhvillimeve të fundit ku u ndalëm tek pregatitjet e PD për fushatën zgjedhore dhe problematikat e këtyre zgjedhjeve. Theksova refuzimin e qeverisë për të adresuar në Kodin Zgjedhor rekomandimet e ODHIR. Përveç kësaj i bëra me dije shkeljen që po ndodh aktualisht nga qeveria të rekomandimeve te ODHIR, lidhur me shitblerjen e votës, përdorimin në fushatë të administratës publike, përdorimi i të dhënave personale dhe Buxhetit të Shtetit në funksion të zgjedhjeve, e sidomos lidhur me pastërtinë e figurës së kandidatëve.

Temë e bisedës ishin dhe zhvillimet në Partinë Demokratike, dinamikat e muajve të fundit dhe qëndrimi konstant për çështjen e personave ‘non-grata’ jo vetëm në PD, por në të gjithë spektrin e politikës shqiptare.
