Only the superpower of the USA/Trump avoids World War 3

Only the superpower of the USA/Trump avoids World War 3

Trillion dollar question: "Are we on the brink of World War III?" (?) What could be the fatal consequences and what weight do Artificial Intelligence, robots, drones and cyber power carry (?) "Will there be winners, or only losers in such a war (?). "What should/can small countries like the Republic of Albania do in the event of war (?). These and other questions carry critical weight for national interests as well as high sensitivity for Albanian citizens, since:
FIRST OF ALL, beyond the nature of the threats, the lethal power and the determining weight that they carry in the fate of the future war = Artificial Intelligence, missiles, robots, drones, modern weapons and Bolshevik propaganda, I must confirm my summary assessment: "considering the exemplary attack that the destructive power of the USA (6 B-2 aircraft costing $ 2 billion; 37 hours of flight; 12 GBU-57 bombs (14 tons each); 10 Tomahawk missiles and over 125 F-35 aircraft) carried out the "most successful operation in human history" against the nuclear bases of the Ayatollah of Iran, who for 34 years threatened: "with the extermination from the face of the earth of Nations, cultures and sovereign States"!
No other country (including China and Russia) and no coalition has the capacity to carry out a similar or similar operation! Undoubtedly, this attack was also a message of the deadly power of the USA against bloody dictators and those who are oppressed by the power of the All-Power (Putin, Kim Jong, etc.).
Having said this, I remain confident that: "only thanks to the invincible, unrivaled and deadly military Superpower of the USA and the strong Leadership of Trump, the World will not roll into the fatality of World War 3". So, thanks to the power of the USA/Trump, not War but: "Peace, the global security order, the values of civilization and functional democracy will triumph over neo-Nazis, neo-Stalinists, neo-Milosevics and terrorist states and organizations"!.
SECOND: "Whoever does not remember the past is condemned to repeat it", said the Spanish philosopher, G. Santayana. The assassination of the prince Austrian (1914), in Sarajevo ignited the First World War. “Fire does not come from the biggest spark, but from the smallest on dry grass”, the French say. Before World War II, Europe enjoyed “La Belle Époque”. So industrial and economic prosperity, but, under this facade, great tensions were hidden: “a terrifying arms race, colonial interests and complicated alliances”.
Why are we in a similar situation? The international order has become even more fragile as "extremists and nationalist interests" are resurgent. World War II, over 70 million killed and nuclear bombs were used for the first time in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Cold War (1945-90) peace was imposed by: "arms race, high tensions and fear of a planetary catastrophe". The USA and the USSR were divided into capitalism vs. communism, as well as military alliances, NATO and Warsaw!
Unfortunately, even today, instead of bullets, embargoes are being used, instead of free movement, walls are being erected, instead of free trade, tariffs are being imposed. History repeats itself: "sanctions, trade wars and control over scarce resources have become economic weapons".
While three and a half years after the neo-Nazi aggression of Putinist Russia against martyred Ukraine; geopolitical status quo, military power and Euro-Atlantic interests (USA/NATO/EU); the recycling of the bloody confrontation with terrorists in the Middle East as well as Cambodia-Thailand in Asia, have shaken the global security order (more than ever before since World War II).
THIRD: Are we on the verge of World War 3? Especially after Trump's re-Triumph in the White House, the foundations of bureaucratic democracies and the Deep State are being shaken to the core and a New Security Order is emerging. Fortunately under Trump's leadership, the USA is becoming even more powerful but also new Factors and Alliances are being reborn.
With the rhetoric of force, Trump aims at Canada, Greenland, the Panama Canal; Putin, Ukraine, Georgia and the former Soviet republics; while Xi Jinping Taiwan as well as expansion in the Far East. It seems as if the World is being divided again into 2 blocks: “the first the USA, NATO, EU, Japan, Australia, Israel and South Korea”; the second Russia, China, BRICS countries, Iran, North Korea. While Trump has made clear and demonstrated in Iran the US project, the question remains: “How many Dictators, Autocrats and bureaucratic democracies are determined to avoid World War III”?
War spending is increasing exponentially. According to the prestigious SIPRI, the staggering defense spending shows that “the world is heading towards war”. Specifically, in 2025 they have reached the highest quotas since the Cold War ($2.83 trillion), of which, the USA $1 trillion or 66% of NATO spending; China $300 billion, Russia €130 billion and the EU €½ Trillion.
The Security Council/UN is paralyzed by the veto of the US, Russia and China. “The most dangerous of all wars is the one that justifies invasions in the name of identity”, said Huntington. While the Trump project: “Make America Great Again, or Uncompetitive”; Putin: “Historical Russia”, Xi Jinping: “Renaissance of China”. How far will this expansionist and mythological narrative, similar to Hitler’s “Lebensraum”, who used the economic and political crisis to build a military state and legitimize barbaric invasions, go?
FOURTH: “the consequences of a Third World War”. The great Einstein said: “I do not know with what weapons the Third War will be fought, but the Fourth will be fought with sticks and stones”. While the "best seller" Y. Harari: "if the First World War was of bayonets and poison gas; the Second of tanks, planes and the atomic bomb; the Third World War will be of AI, drones, robots, missiles, which even risk the extinction of civilization".
The frightening era of Artificial Intelligence will be used on the battlefield for reconnaissance, analysis and decision-making in determining targets and robot attacks. When algorithms (themselves) decide when and who to attack, that is, without human control, then a paradox arises: "Who will take responsibility for the victims caused?". Cyberwar can also disable energy networks, banking systems, air transport, collapse hospitals, and manipulate or decide the winner of elections.
The future and fate of the battlefield will also be hypersonic missiles, with speeds above Mach-5 (five times faster than sound) and maneuverability, making detection and destruction by traditional air defense impossible. The US dominates with Hypersonic Glide Vehicles (HGV); followed by Russia with Kinzhal and Avangard and China with the advanced DF-ZF. as an illustrative example: "In World War II, Germany attacked London with V-2 missiles, one of the most advanced of the time. Today, hypersonics are 10 times faster and 100 times more accurate, and "so will the consequences be..."!
Orbital and satellite armament. The USA, Russia and China possess the latest generation of anti-satellite weapons. So, space will no longer be simply an "experimental laboratory", but an integral part of the fate of the War. Bioweapons and chemical weapons. Although prohibited by international conventions, in desperate situations: "lab-created viruses and biological agents can be used by terrorists and dictators to cause mass panic in large cities". In World War I, poison gas was used, while in World War II, the Pearl Harbor attack was repaid/followed by the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Electromagnetic weapons (EMP) can destroy electronic systems, returning entire cities to the pre-digital age. If a nuclear missile explodes, the EMP waves can disable all digital technology, bringing about the complete collapse of vital systems and infrastructures. Digital disinformation also increases confusion on the battlefield as well as in the decisions of the opponent.
FIFTH, will there be a winner? “In a nuclear war, the winner will be the one who dies last” – said Nobel Peace Prize laureate Andrei Sakharov sarcastically. The USA, Russia, China, UK, France still have about 13,000 nuclear weapons, if they explode, no country will survive without serious injuries. During the Cold War, the concept of Deterrence (Guaranteed Destruction) kept the parties in an imposed peace or out of mutual fear. Today, the power and precision of nuclear weapons is 10 times greater/higher.
In “The Clash of Civilizations”, Huntington emphasized that: “future conflicts will not only be ideological or economic interests, but also of civilizational affiliation”. The conflicts in the Balkans in the 1990s; the current clashes between the USA/West and China/Russia; tensions in the Middle East, Asia as well as the confrontation with terrorism: “illustrate this threat, for a clash of civilizations”.
In ADDITION: “what can/should small countries like the Republic of Macedonia do in the event of a world war”? Following the “five findings mentioned above, I am presenting 5 strategic recommendations:
1. History shows us that wars start from the actions, inactions and oscillations of bloody Dictators, All-Powerful Autocrats, as well as the disregard of lessons from previous wars. Nowadays, technology (AI) makes war more unpredictable, more merciless and more destructive, or it may even be “the last for humanity”.
2. No country can survive a world war alone, but “especially small states do not have the luxury of making strategic mistakes”, said Kissinger. Thus, we should not even think about returning to the folly of “defense with our own forces” that for 45 years humiliated the Nation and exhausted the Albanians! In the event of a fatal confrontation, we must further strengthen strategic cooperation with the US and NATO. So, for For the survival, protection and development of national interests, we need: "strong alliances, modest (but prominent) contributions and active diplomacy."
3. While applauding the "agreement between Croatia, Kosovo and the Republic of Albania in the field of defense", I would fraternally advise political actors and State factors in Tirana and Pristina: "to bow their knees before the bloody history and state responsibilities", to give life to the Platform: "2-Sovereign States, 1-One Nation", confirming in Washington, Brussels, etc., that "although delayed" does not threaten any country (including Serbia), but will contribute as a rational balance for long-term peace and the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Western Balkans.
4. Increasing defense spending from 2% to 5% by 2030 is by no means “to please President Trump (!)”, but a critical necessity to transform the Security and Defense System of the Republic of Albania, in accordance with the New Collective Defense Concept, by updating and modernizing the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces to fulfill the constitutional mission: “protecting territorial integrity (Article 5); developing national interests, promoting Euro-Atlantic values, and fulfilling NATO obligations”!
5. As a guarantee for the successful failure of national security and defense reforms, are: “facade pluralism, the desecration of elections, and the humiliation of the Assembly of Gases and Zinc; Bolshevik delusions from the super-victory of the All-Power and the misery of the Opposition from the (4th) consecutive defeat”. On the contrary, the restoration of functional democracy, constitutional balances, love for the Homeland, commitment and responsibility towards national interests, as well as "trust and gratitude" towards the strategic partnership with the US and NATO remains critical.
