One of the most negative phenomena of the free media is its overpopulation with self-proclaimed "investigative" journalists.
Wearing this arrogant name on their backs and armed with the "Public Interest" in their belts, most of them are just
Masked thugs terrorizing people.
The first condition for being accepted into the "Masked Gang" is the total lack of professional scruples. Professionalism and truth are abandoned first, just as a prostitute abandons her childhood memories and chastity at the entrance of a brothel.
In the new life of media thugs there is no place for sentimentalisms like "the truth" or nonsense like "moral scruples".
These are the scum of "their world". (meaning: the victims)
Media thugs hate books. At most, they read some detective novel that sparks their imagination or retells the exploits of recent Albanian mafiosi. Their legends, their valuable expertise in the art of coercion towards business, is quite inspiring for them.
Their idols are Vis Martinaj, Shullazi, Dajti, Sueli, etc.
Montanelli is known as a film artist or, in short, "one of those people"...
The Media Bandits have their own manual of impudence. One of them, a first-degree ignoramus, whose ability to construct sentences of more than five words, without spelling errors, is quite questionable, was caught two years ago, in person and voice, explaining his extortion manual.
The bandit had been seduced by a young girl and had fallen prey like a fox in a trap. He was explaining to the “aspiring” extortionist how to act to catch her prey.
The predator became a scoundrel! This is how his prey remembered.
But, as I told you above, the media bandit and moral or professional scruples are two parallel worlds. Today he is even hungrier, more bloodthirsty, and more ignorant than he was. He works during the day in a well-known media outlet and at night he arms himself and goes under the bridge with his portal “The Masked Bandit”.
His slanderous opinions are sold in the media market as if they were genuine investigative analyses.
Another bandit appeared in the wiretaps of Albania's most dangerous mafia with the reference "This one for a penny that... his mother". But it was probably an exaggeration. Now he is present again with his valuable thoughts on sports, politics, theater and geopolitics.
As the Prime Minister's song says: "Anything can happen/ We live in Tirana"
This is the end of the media. If a quality media accepts such an element in its ranks, promotes them, feeds them, praises them, it is actually doing the greatest damage to itself. No one is so diligent these days to separate the wheat from the chaff.
The entire media becomes chaff.
In search of clicks, bombastic headlines, rumors and impudence, journalists of endless television shows make these bandits part of them. They become accomplices at this moment.
As soon as the dinner show ends, the bandit emerges from the Mythological Bridge or the Shkopet Turn.
He has two weapons with him:
1) popular hatred of business and politics and
2) a truth or rumor taken out of context.
He mixes these with a whiff of rumors, some invented and some existing, and lo and behold, the Molotov cocktail is made. The fuse is lit with the lighter of "violation of the public interest" and in the morning the explosion occurs.
But, be careful, something is left unsaid. It is a warning. In the subtext somewhere it is read that there are new facts that will emerge in the coming days...
The victim shows up at work after an awkward sleep. A tall, handsome man who works from morning to night and can barely sleep due to business worries. He is an agricultural or livestock entrepreneur. He has worked for 30 years to grow his business and has made a name for himself. The consequences of that work, time after time, have left their mark on his health, his heart has weakened, his blood pressure has increased. He just wants to enjoy the years he has left in peace. His name is sacred, he has earned it with hard work and sweat.
When he wakes up one morning, he reads that the Masked Bandit has fined him:
"Lufra and Erzeni have sold carcinogenic milk".
When you read this headline, you think that the Prosecutor's Office will immediately arrest the company executives or the writer of the article for the terrorist title. But nothing happens.
He asks for the AKU report, but it is not there. There is a rumor somewhere that Lufra's milk has a high aflatoxin content!
As we said above, the pure truth is a whim exaggerated by readers. Plus, it is never in favor of the finers, so it smells like rumors.
Here is another example:
The “Masked Bandit” portal sends a rumor to an anonymous but popular Facebook page like Lolita. It tells them to publish it and I will get the news from you: Here is what the news says:
Fraud: “Lufra advertises the cow but has no cowshed”!
What a joke! Citing a Facebook rumor to make a news story! Put nothing inside the news! A big blank!
But the owner of Lufra, of course, does not experience it as calmly as we, the readers who do not believe it. He sees that the news has received thousands of likes and hundreds of shares and is terrorized. The tension is at its peak and who knows how he took the bait of the media terrorist…
Go to the sausages. EHW, Hako or whatever you want. Bombastic, terrorizing headlines:
“A worker proves that there are bones and skin in the sausage”.
The same terrorizing hand, the same style. A mixture of rumors with fantasy to produce terror. And the victims who are terrorized.
This is not journalism. These are not journalists, they are media terrorists. The sooner they are unmasked, the sooner journalism is separated from the Masked Bandit, the sooner their honor will be saved.
