The paradox of the oil market

Subsidizing the planting of olives has been one of the most successful agricultural policies in the history of Albania. This is an indisputable fact. The statement of the Minister of Agriculture that Albania was wrong to plant olives without a plan and now suffers from overproduction is inappropriate and wrong.

Not long ago, Albanians fed on the oily waste of the world. Everyone over the age of 35, I believe, remembers that horrible fishy smelling oil.

Sot shqiptarët konsumojne masivisht vajin e ullirit që prodhohet në vend. Dhe e blejnë me një çmim që është gati njësoj me vajin komercial të lulediellit. Megjithatë, prapë ka një paradoks në treg.
Shqipëria importon mesatarisht 80 milionë dollarë në vit vaj gatimi komercial. Nëse bën matematikën, i bie diku tek 10-15 litra vaj në vit për frymë.
