Once upon a time, there was a place of natural beauty that God had bestowed upon us with unparalleled generosity: seas, mountains, raging rivers, history, and a people whose distinguishing feature was impatience.

One day, in this country, a golden duck appeared, not like Aesop's, but in the form of a tourist. He came quietly, spent, took photos for Instagram, videos for Tiktok, left positive comments on Google, and left satisfied, leaving behind the golden egg: an economy that grew slowly but surely.

The owners of bars, guesthouses, sunbeds, and rental houses were delighted with the golden egg, but they couldn't wait to collect the eggs one by one.

They wanted it all within a day. Instantly, in a moment, immediately, in the blink of an eye.

Prices rose at the speed of a lie.

Coffee 5 euros;

The deckchair, more expensive than the travel ticket;

The "wild" fish is sold as a Rembrandt painting;

Beer? 5 euros at Qafe i Pazarit;

8 euros Coca-Cola at the Lëkursi Castle;

Hotel room as if you were in the Maldives...

And just like Aesop's impatient peasant who ripped open the duck's belly to get all the eggs at once, our people are tearing the heart out of tourism.

As if impatience weren't enough, in the middle of the season, dinosaur-like hawks appear, garbage is set on fire as if it were a pagan spring day, water is lacking as if you were in the middle of the desert, and...

Yes, because tourists flee, cancel reservations, are horrified when they find a ruin for the villa they paid for, and warn each other.

Because even ducks know how to fly, they also know how to get angry, especially when they feel cheated.
