Only 11 years have passed since the event of June 26, 2014, which shocked the capital.

But it seems so distant that everyone has forgotten Artan Santo, the founder of the first bank with 100% Albanian capital and one of the most important banks in the country.

All those who lined up at the door of his office, top-level politicians, government officials, judges and prosecutors, media owners and moderators, who took advantage of him as much as they could, did not find the time for even a single minute to remember him.

A fanatical enforcer of the popular expression, "the dead with the dead, the living with the living."

The Prime Minister, who had made him such a close friend before he was murdered, didn't have enough three terms to find out what happened to a "Tiron kid."

Maybe he left it for the fourth term??!! But remembering him with two lines on his anniversary didn't cost him anything.

If I were to enumerate the list of prime ministers and ministers who have collaborated and benefited from it, I wouldn't have enough time.

Now, the orderers and beneficiaries of Santos' murder are quietly enjoying the "goodies" of June 26, 2014.

Moreover, when the organizers and executors of the assassination have already suffered a tragic end.

They cannot speak or testify about what they did with criminal coldness and professionalism.

They can no longer show who ordered them, who paid them, and even more so who wiped them off the face of the earth, worse than their target.

It seems that a very refined hand, like the one hidden behind the great power of political and economic power, kidnapped them in special police uniforms and disappeared their bodies with surgical precision.

The fate of those who undertook the execution of Artan Santos, the "Brave" of the Albanian banking system, was much more tragic than their victim himself.

They not only kidnapped and killed them, but left them without a grave.

This is not in revenge for what they did in the heart of the former bloc, but to once and for all erase the traces that led to the orderers.

Every anniversary, I try to appeal for the discovery of the most important murder of post-communism.

Yesterday I was deliberately silent, waiting in vain for someone to remember Artan Santo.

They did not disappoint me.

Nobody did it.

In the spring of 2020, several experienced State Police officers pulled from the archive the file of June 26, 2014, when those guys with a "Suzuki V-Strom" motorcycle executed the Director of the Credins Bank, Artan Santo, at 9:15 a.m.

After carrying out a series of actions in complete silence and secrecy, 2-3 new leads were established for the incident and it was decided at the beginning of December 2020 to send them to the SPAK Special Prosecutor's Office.

SPAK prosecutors promised to quickly review the material and launch intensive investigations. But when another five years have passed, they have not taken any action.

The only decision that remains in force even after 11 years is the Albanian government's reward of 100 thousand euros for any citizen who helps in discovering the perpetrators of the murder of banker Artan Santo.

This is the largest reward ever set in Albania for the discovery of a murder.

But the fact that it is a large sum did not "attract" the witnesses.

They (the witnesses) know very well that the "head" behind this murder could eat their heads.

The last man, who was being kept under systematic surveillance by the State Police, suspected in connection with this murder, disappeared without a trace after an enigmatic kidnapping on February 8, 2015.

I have not heard of any reward being offered by the State Police for those citizens who help find the missing person. Apparently he was not worth a single penny...
