After 25 years, "Magic Song" changes the rules

After 25 years, the renowned "Magic Song" festival comes with a new format and significant changes to the voting system.

According to an announcement made by producer Ardit Gjebrea on Instagram, this year artists will no longer vote for their colleagues, putting an end to one of the most discussed elements of the festival over the years.

Instead of the previous system, the evaluation of songs will be done by a combination of a jury and the public, with the aim of increasing transparency and avoiding repeated debates over favoritism or agreements between artists.

Gjebrea has previously stated that the idea is for artists to no longer be part of a competition influenced by votes among themselves, but to focus on the music and the impact of the songs on the public.

In this edition, the Magic Song is also expected to bring the return of several special awards, creating a more spectacular format than a competition in the classic sense.
