Doctor: Sleep on this side to avoid snoring

It's natural to think that snoring is a result of what's going on in the nose, but a professor at Stanford University says there's another question that should apply to some people who snore.

According to Dr. Scott Kutscher The best solution is to talk to your doctor about sleep apnea.

Sleep apnea is a disorder that causes breathing to stop and start repeatedly, which can result in snoring at night. Research has also suggested that there may be a significant link between sleep apnea and a wider range of health problems, such as obesity, anxiety and depression.

So that interrupted sleep can have an impact on one's overall health. It is recommended that you sleep on your side or with your head elevated rather than on your back so that gravity does not push the airways down and close them./ CNA
