How to earn 18 thousand euros per month without leaving your bed

Making money without having to get out of bed sounds like a dream job. Even better when you get paid thousands of euros.

The German Aerospace Center (DLR) is looking for 12 candidates to spend 60 days in bed for its study in collaboration with NASA.

Candidates who complete the two-month program will be paid 18,000 euros, reports Euronews. 

Scheduled to begin in the fall of 2024, the study requires participants to spend a total of 88 days, which include preparation and follow-up, at the DLR:envihab medical research facility in Cologne.

The study aims to reproduce the conditions astronauts might find themselves in in space to avoid "dizziness, stumbling and other coordination issues" from jeopardizing a mission.

Long periods spent in space can impair sensory perceptions, such as hearing, and motor reactions such as walking, according to the space agency.

This study is looking for individuals aged 24 to 55 years, with a height of 1.53 to 1.90 m. Applicants must be in good health, not smoke and "have a good knowledge of German".

Participants are expected to perform daily activities including personal hygiene, toileting and eating while lying down./ CNA
