Scientists identify 45 planets outside our solar system

Scientists have identified 45 exoplanets, as planets outside our solar system are known.

All of these planets are rocky, like Earth, and are located in the "habitable zone," not too close and not too far from their star.

This means they could have liquid water and potentially conditions for life.

Of these 45, 24 planets are considered even more suitable because computer models suggest Earth-like climates, clouds, winds and humidity.

Some of the most interesting planets include:

Proxima Centauri b: Only about 4.2 light years away, relatively close on a cosmic scale.

TRAPPIST-1 system

Planets: d, e, f, g which are located about 40 light years away.

The nearest planet is trillions of kilometers away and with current technology, the journey would take tens of thousands of years. So for now: we can study them, but not visit them. /CNA
