Yesterday evening the giant blue moon appeared, an extraordinary astronomical phenomenon.

The Super Blue Moon was seen in the UK, USA, Italy, Spain and many other countries.

We are bringing you some pictures of the Super Blue Moon, the first from different countries of the world.

The last time this lunar event occurred was August 2023.

This phenomenon occurs when the full Moon is closest to Earth, appearing larger and brighter than normal.

It appears up to 15% brighter and 30% larger than the usual full Moon.

Despite being called a Blue Super Moon, that doesn't mean the moon looks blue.

This term is commonly used when two full moons occur within the same calendar month.

It is expected that during this year there will be 3 more blue supermoons, which will occur on September 17, October 17 and November 15./ CNA
