The Greek guards of Koridhalos had mercy on Friday afternoon in two cells where Albanian prisoners were kept. Controls were carried out in cell 32, where Etem Hoxha is, and cell 30, where Laert Haxhiu was kept before being extradited to Albania. Sources inform that the controls are being carried out in connection with the investigations into the murder of the 35-year-old Albanian prisoner Alfons Ndoci and the wounding of the 46-year-old Kosovar Altin Vokrri on June 26. The murder was carried out by Xuliano Halili, an Albanian sentenced to life imprisonment for two murders, while the images provided by the Greek media showed that several prisoners had participated in the clash, including Etem Hoxha.
Although the killing was initially considered to have occurred due to a conflict regarding whether or not to put the convicts in their cells after their protests about the air conditioning of the cells, the event seems to have other behind the scenes.
Specifically, it is thought that the guards may have created the conditions for the murder of Alfons Ndoci. In addition, there are suspicions that the murder may have been paid for by the "Mykonos mafia". Specifically, on July 2, 54-year-old Greek surveyor Panagiotis Stathis was executed in Athens. Stathi had been attacked three times before in Mykonos and Athens. Two of these attacks are believed to have been carried out by Alfons Ndoci, paid by powerful people with construction interests on the Greek island. The suspicions are that in order to create conditions for the murder of Stathi, the killing of Alfons Ndoci was first ordered, in order for him not to talk about the possible orderers of the surveyor's murder.
Ndoc's connections with the "Mykonos mafia"
Alfons Ndoci is suspected of having operated in Mykonos under the orders of Albanian businessman Tonin Preka, 42 years old. Among the orders he received from Preka, it is suspected that there was also the beating of a businessman, who is currently suspected of ordering the surveyor's murder. Although he worked for Preka, Ndoci separated from him due to economic disputes. In November 2022, Ndoci returned to Mykonos and beat and robbed Toni Preka. Together with the Albanian Gerald Jaho, 25 years old, they took 40 thousand euros from Preka. In January 2023, while he was in a shopping center in Athens, Preka spotted the two Albanians and informed the police that the two people who had robbed him were right there. The police managed to catch them after a car chase that also caused collisions with parked vehicles. The police found two "Berreta" and "Sig Sauer" pistols, 1 comb without cartridges, 17 cartridges, 1 package of marijuana, 16,207 euros and banknotes of different countries from the two Albanians. During the verification, it turned out that Ndoci was wanted for "robbery in collaboration" and had two sentences of 3 years in prison for "arming by a prisoner" and "theft", while Jaho was wanted for "robbery in collaboration".
Ndoci had escaped from prison with the one who took responsibility for his murder
Alfons Ndoci turns out that in 2014, during a robbery in Elefsina, he killed the shop owner because he resisted. During his time in prison, in 2018 he escaped from the prison transport vehicle at the Port of Patras together with three other prisoners, including Juliano Halili. He was even caught with the latter a few days later by the police. The latter is the person who took responsibility for the murder of Ndoc in Koridhalo a few days ago. Xuliano Halili, 41 years old, known as "Niko", was convicted for the murder of father and son, Fillim and Oligert Mesaja, 35 and 2 years old, in 2011 in Kalamata. The murder was then ordered by the notorious Greek criminal Vasilis Varelas to wash accounts. In January 2021, Varelas was found by the Greek police in a "BMË" vehicle with black windows together with the Albanian Alket Rizai. Both had been released from prison.
Alfons Ndoci repentant? "Zougla": "We have his evidence"
According to the Greek media "Zougla", Alfons Ndoci, before he was killed, apparently out of fear that something serious might happen to him, had taken care to start "Zougla" the recorded conversations between him and a contracting partner in Mykonos . The Greek media claims to have these recordings but has not yet published them. The same media casts doubt that the murder of Ndoci was allowed by the prison guards, since the footage provided by it shows that Juliano Halili and Etem Hoxha came out armed with knives from the office of the chief warden Lamropoulo and were allowed to cross the sector by the warden Kokkinakis who has opened the door for them. As soon as he closed it again, the two Albanians attacked Alfons Ndoci./CNA
