Over 8 kilograms of cocaine in the car, the Albanian is arrested in Italy

The Italian police seized 8 and a half kilograms of cocaine inside a car coming from Germany, ANSA reports. 

The drug was seized on the road "38 in Val Venosta", in the municipal area of ??Silandro, Bolzano. The police stopped the car with Italian license plates coming from Stuttgart, where an Italian and an Albanian were in it. 

The contradictory explanations of the two people about the reasons for the trip aroused the suspicion of the officers, who decided to check the vehicle with the help of drug-sniffing dogs.

The drug, which according to Italian police estimates would bring about 1.5 million euros to the market, was seized together with the car.

The two people were arrested and sent to Bolzano prison.

Investigations are ongoing to verify any connection between this seizure and the previous maximum seizure of 100 kilograms of hashish, which occurred two weeks ago in Resia after the control of a car, which also came from Germany. /CNA
