The Court of Appeal of Tirana has left the brothers Saimir and Arsil Shera in prison for the murder of taxi driver Abdulla Budlla.

Saimir Shera was found guilty of the criminal offense of premeditated murder, committed in collaboration and sentenced to 21 years in prison.

He was also found guilty of illegal possession of firearms, a criminal offense which adds another 5 years of imprisonment. With the reduction of the sentence by 1/3, Saimiri was finally sentenced to 14 years and eight months of imprisonment.

Meanwhile, his brother, Arsil Shera, was found guilty of the criminal offense of premeditated murder, committed in collaboration, and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Pursuant to Article 406 of the Penal Code, he was finally sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Arsil Shera asked for the change of the decision, and the declaration of not guilty for the charge of premeditated murder, while his brother, Saimiri, asked for the decision to be changed, for the sentencing.
