The Tirana police have arrested 2 people, IK, 22 years old and ES, 20 years old, for selling fireworks.

During the search in a warehouse managed by two young men, 391 cases with thousands of fireworks of different calibers were seized.

Police Notification:

The special operational police plan is developed, in implementation of the joint instruction of the 3 ministers, for the prohibition of noise in residential areas and for the prohibition of the use of pyrotechnic materials, contrary to the rules and criteria.

This phase of the operational plan was finalized by the Directorate for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes of the State Police.

A warehouse was discovered in the capital, where a large amount of fireworks, smuggled for sale, was kept.

The 2 young men who managed the business together were put in handcuffs.

Thousands of fireworks of different calibers, packed in 391 cases, are seized.

As a result of the intensive actions of the Police services, supported by information intelligence and carried out in implementation of the special operational plan, drawn up by the DPPSH, after the signing of the joint instruction of the 3 ministers, with the object of stopping the noise in the areas inhabited and to guarantee the use of pyrotechnic materials, in accordance with the laws in force, a warehouse was discovered on "5 Maji" street, Tirana, where hundreds of cases of fireworks were kept, suspected to be smuggled into our country, with the purpose of sale.

As a result of the immediate intervention of the Police services, in this environment, the co-administrators of this business, citizens I. K, 22 years old and ES, 20 years old, both residents of Tirana, were caught red-handed and arrested.

In the warehouse, the Police services found and seized as material evidence, 391 cases with thousands of fireworks of different calibers.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions, for the criminal offense "Trading and transportation of goods that are contraband", carried out in cooperation.

The State Police appeals to all citizens not to use pyrotechnics, contrary to the rules and criteria defined in the acts in force, as they will be punished according to the law./CNA
