A 36-year-old man has been arrested in Tirana after he shot himself with a firearm and claimed he had been shot. Citizen AH, who was in possession of the firearm without a permit, was arrested.

While receiving medical attention, he filed a false report claiming that he had been injured by another person.

"Specialists from the Serious Crimes Investigation Section arrested citizen AH, 36 years old, after yesterday, in Lapraka, he is suspected of accidentally injuring himself in his vehicle, with a firearm that he possessed without a permit. This citizen, while receiving medical assistance at the hospital, filed a false report claiming that he had been injured by another citizen ," the police statement said. /CNA
