Found with 300 kilograms of cannabis/ 3 Albanians arrested in Almeria, Spain

Almeria police authorities in Spain have arrested three individuals belonging to an Albanian drug trafficking network based in Roquetas de Mar. The arrested had previous convictions for similar criminal offenses in the United Kingdom and Kosovo, where they had even been convicted.

The investigation, carried out in two phases, led to the dismantling of a marijuana plantation in Las Tres Villas, in the Sierra de los Filabres natural area and in Felix.

Spanish media reports that Civil Guard officers found two plantations hidden in areas with difficult terrain and far from populated areas. They also had video surveillance cameras and perimeter electrified fences covering the cultivated land.

Due to the complexity of the areas, which made the extraction operation difficult, Civil Guard officers requested the logistical support of the Air Service (SAER) to extract the plants using a hanging anchor with 1,000-liter bags. Finally, they found 300 kilograms of cannabis, worth more than half a million euros. /CNA
