SPAK requests house arrest/ GJKKO gives the decision for Berisha today

The Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime will hold this Tuesday the session for the security measure of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

The Special Prosecutor's Office has requested "house arrest" for the former prime minister. At 10:00 a.m. the session will start at GJKKO, where the security measure is expected to be lifted.

In Thursday's plenary session, the majority removed MP Berisha's immunity and notified the prosecutor's office that they can arrest him.

The prosecutor's office wants to impose a house arrest measure on Berisha, because he has never appeared before the BKH officers.

According to the decision of GJKKO, the former prime minister had to appear 4 times in BKH.

The chief democrat refused to go in any case, calling the measure "obligation to appear" as an illegal decision./  CNA
