Livestock smuggling in Kakavijë is attacked/ Customs officers are wanted in

A case of smuggling has been dealt with by specialists for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes at the border point of Kakavija.

Citizens with the initials AT, 49 years old, resident of Fier and MH, 48 years old, resident of Roskovec, tried to pass through the customs some heads of small cattle, without the relevant documentation, suspected of being smuggled.

It is suspected that they were helped to pass the cattle without completing the customs procedures by the 38-year-old man with the initials BM, who is a customs officer in Kakavija.

The two thieves have been criminally prosecuted, while the customs officer has been declared wanted.

Police notification:

Specialists for the Investigation of Economic-Financial Crimes referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in free status for the citizens AT, 49 years old, resident in Fier and MH, 48 years old, resident in Roskovec, since during the control of their vehicles, the Police services have found several heads of small cattle, without relevant documentation, suspected of being smuggled. 

Following the actions for this case, the BM citizen, 38 years old, resident of Gjirokastër, with customs duties at the Kakavijë customs point, was declared wanted, as it is suspected that he helped these 2 citizens, to pass vehicles with cattle, to the Kakavijë PKK. without performing customs procedures. 

Specialists for the Investigation of Narcotics and Illegal Trafficking of DVP Gjirokastër referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in a free state for the citizen NF, 60 years old, resident in Elbasan, after a small amount of the suspected narcotic substance cocaine was found on him during the physical check. which was seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, for further actions./ CNA
