An unprecedented case happened in Igoumenica, where a police officer was arrested, who was transporting 102 kilograms of cannabis in a police vehicle.

Police officers who had information about the cargo the patrol car was carrying signaled it to stop, which the officer did not do, and a pursuit ensued. 

The patrol car was stopped when the driver lost control and crashed into three parked cars causing material damage.

According to SKAI journalist Theodosis Panou, the driver of the vehicle was a 41-year-old officer who serves in the Narcotics Prosecutor's Office in Igoumenica, and his co-passenger was an Albanian of the same age.

The latter was also captured by the police. /CNA
