The police operation codenamed "Resort 2012" is finalized after a two-year investigation.

Assets worth 3 million euros are seized, which are suspected to be derived from the criminal activity of a citizen convicted in Italy, with 21 years of imprisonment, for drug trafficking. 

The properties belonged to citizen EB, 54 years old, resident in Tirana.

He was detained in Tirana, in 2014, and extradited to Italy, after the Court of Appeal in Turin, Italy, sentenced him to 21 years in prison for drug trafficking.   

Pursuant to the Court's decision, real estate was seized, the value of which is around 3 million euros, specifically: 2 buildings (resorts), in Sarandë, 1 vehicle (truck) and 1 trailer.

Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, work is continuing to discover other assets that this citizen or his family members may have registered in the name of other persons./ CNA.al
