A Chinese citizen has been arrested, as she is accused of being the pimp of a prostitution network that operated in Tirana.

The 38-year-old Chinese woman, who was wanted during the coded operation "Red Light 2", was arrested, where her Chinese friend, involved in the prostitution network, was also arrested earlier.

The 38-year-old Chinese woman was caught in Rinas while trying to leave Albania. She, along with her friend Yhong Yang, 52, who was previously arrested during the operation, are suspected of recruiting Chinese and Filipino nationals who then used them for prostitution.

At the moment when the recruited girls wanted to withdraw from this criminal activity, the two arrested citizens, through the photos published on the page "Escort Tirana", exerted violence against them and pressured the families of the recruited girls.

The price for the services of the girls ranged from 150 to 300 euros and prostitution was practiced in "Airbnb" apartments, in different areas of Tirana.

She was wanted for the criminal offenses of "Exploitation of prostitution", "Owning premises for prostitution", "Extortion through threats or violence to give property", and "Other intentional damage"/ CNA
