A 35-year-old man from Mesmal village of Maliq municipality has been criminally prosecuted, after he was caught transporting contraband timber.

It is learned that the 35-year-old man with the initials FP had loaded 15 m3 of timber of the type ah in the truck, while the truck was without the relevant documents and without license plates.

At the moment when the young man was caught trying to transport the wood towards the city of Pogradec, he opposed the police forces.

Furthermore, 50 m3 of oak wood was found on both sides of the Mesmal village road, which was ready to be transported by heavy tonnage vehicles.
