The police in Shkodër destroyed 6201 suspected cannabis plants. The 29-year-old man with the initials ML has fallen into police custody

Police Notification: 

As a result of intensive controls throughout the territory of the district, 6201 suspected cannabis plants were found and destroyed.

The police identify and handcuff the suspected perpetrator of the cultivation of 835 of these seedlings on Mount Shoshi. Within the national mega-operation "Clean Territory", against the cultivation of narcotic plants, the services of the Local Police Directorate of Shkodër and the police stations in dependence, the checks have been intensively continued throughout the territory of the district, with the aim of ascertaining and cracking down on cases of this criminal activity. During this phase of the mega operation:

- 835 cannabis plants were found on the mountain of Shoshi. As a result of the investigations and professional police actions, the suspected perpetrator, citizen ML, 29 years old, resident of the village of Hot i Ri, was identified, caught and arrested;

Controls continued in the territory of the administrative units Shosh, Shale, Pult and Postribe, Shkodër, a total of 4902 cannabis plants were found.

Following the checks in the territory of the Temal administrative unit, Vau i Dejës, 244 cannabis seedlings were found, while in the territory of the Gjegjan administrative unit, Pukë, 220 cannabis seedlings were found.

The work continues for the identification, capture and prosecution of the perpetrators of the cultivation of these cannabis plants.

The "Clean Territory" mega-operation continues.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Shkodër, for further actions./ CNA
