An elderly French tourist suffered an accident this Sunday in Vrana i Tropoja.

The event was recorded around 12:30. The Mountain Search and Rescue Service of Albania, after being notified, gave first aid to the tourist.

The latter was transported to the trauma hospital in Tirana, for more specialized service.

The news was announced by the Mountain Search and Rescue Service of Albania, which calls on tourists to travel with all safety protocols.

"The Mountain Search and Rescue Service of Albania received today around 12:30 a call for intervention after it was reported that a tourist with French citizenship aged around 50 had suffered an accident in Vrana, Lekbibaj, immediately a team was organized in coordination with the National Center for Medical Emergencies - QKUM, the tourist was located and given first aid, due to the serious damage it was necessary to carry out immediate transportation by helicopter in the direction of Tirana.

Thanking all the participants in this intervention, we wish the tourist a speedy recovery
