A 27-year-old man with the initials AS was handcuffed today by the police in Vlora, after he was caught red-handed shooting in the air with a firearm. 

The police seized the Kalashnikov firearm with ammunition and a knife. 

Police Notification:

Pursuant to the measures of the "Rule of Law" mega-operation, the coded operation "Strike 14" was finalized, for striking a case in the field of illegal possession of weapons.

He was moving with a firearm, the 27-year-old was handcuffed. This citizen was caught red-handed after shooting in the air with a firearm. The Kalashnikov firearm with combat ammunition and a knife cutting tool, which were found on the 27-year-old during the physical check, were seized.  

In implementation of the measures of the "Rule of Law" mega-operation, the Narcotics Investigation Section, in cooperation with the Vlora Police Station, based on the information provided on the operative route that a citizen was moving armed, finalized the coded operation "Strike 14". for his capture.

As a result, citizen AS, 27 years old, resident of Vlora, was arrested. This citizen was caught in the act by the Police services, after firing a firearm in the place called "Kuzum Baba", in the "Partizani" neighborhood, endangering the residents of the area. 

During the physical check, citizen AS was found with 1 Kalashnikov firearm with combat ammunition and 1 knife cutting tool, which were seized as material evidence.   

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Vlora./ CNA
