Gunshot wound in Saranda/ Incident cleared up, details revealed

The clash in Saranda is solved, 4 people are wanted, one of the injured was arrested for illegal possession of weapons

Details have emerged from the serious incident in Saranda, where two people were injured after a gunfight.

Police have announced a search for four people.

Citizen RZ, 43 years old, resident of Saranda, is wanted on suspicion of the criminal offense of "Murder under other qualifying circumstances", which remains an attempt. EC (36 years old), AM (43 years old) and KJ (31 years old), all three from Saranda, are also wanted on suspicion of "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime".

According to the police, the conflict began for weak motives between four citizens from Saranda and two young men from Tirana, GH, 33 years old and EL, 25 years old, which ended in a physical confrontation and then in the use of a firearm by RZ, who seriously injured both of them. Currently, GH and EL are in the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, under the care of doctors.

During the investigation, GH, one of the injured, was caught in possession of a “Beretta” pistol, which was seized along with a magazine containing 9 cartridges. He was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of “Unauthorized Possession of Weapons and Ammunition”.

Four firearm casings, the seized weapon, and related ammunition were also seized at the scene.

The police continue to work to locate and capture the four wanted suspects, while the procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of General Jurisdiction in Saranda for further action./ CNA
