The criminal event in Tirana is prevented

Within the last 12 hours, another criminal event in the family was prevented, thanks to the timely intervention and professional actions of the DVP Tirana structures.

A citizen is caught and put in handcuffs, after he had used violence against his wife and yesterday evening, he had locked her in the apartment, together with his family members, threatening to kill them with a cutting tool (axe).

Services of Police Station No. 3, after receiving the notification about a citizen who had locked himself in the apartment, his family members (wife and grandchildren), on "Pavarësia" street, immediately organized the work to prevent a possible criminal event, complete legal documentation of the case and bringing the suspected perpetrator to criminal responsibility.

As a result of quick actions, a RS citizen, 66 years old, resident in Tirana, was arrested in the act.

Yesterday evening, around 9:30 p.m., on "Pavarësia" street, the RS citizen abused his wife, locked her in the apartment, together with her grandchildren, and threatened them with an ax cutting tool, which not to notify the Police.

The cutting tool (axe) was seized as material evidence.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions.
