Serious criminal events that would be carried out with remote-controlled mines are prevented. The police operation coded "Safe City" is finalized by the Mirdita Police Station. 2 remote-controlled mines, 1 Kalashnikov and military ammunition were seized. 28-year-old Marian Gjoka, who transported mines and kept 1 Kalashnikov firearm and ammunition in his apartment, was arrested.

The services of the Mirdita Police Station, following the national mega-operation "Rule of Law" and based on the information provided by the police intelligence, that a citizen was transporting remote-controlled mines that would be used to commit crimes against the person, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Safe City".

At the entrance to the town of Rrëshen, the police services located the suspected citizen who was moving on foot, in the direction of the city, and intervened immediately. As a result, the citizen M. Gj., 28 years old, resident of Qafë Unazë, Rubik administrative unit, Mirdita, resident of Montenegro, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

The Police Services, during the search of the 28-year-old's backpack, found and seized as material evidence, 2 remote-controlled mines with C4 explosives. Following the procedural actions, during the control carried out in the residence of this citizen, 1 Kalashnikov firearm and a quantity of military ammunition were found and seized as material evidence. From the first investigative actions, it is suspected that the 28-year-old provided 2 remote-controlled mines in Montenegro, where he was employed.

In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, the work continues for the complete documentation of the circumstances of the case and for the identification of other citizens involved in this criminal activity. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
