The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has completed the investigations and sent 3 former officials of Bërxulle Municipality to court for 'Abuse of duty' and the citizen KA for 'Forgery of documents'.

According to the prosecution, the citizens YM, KB, AL, in cooperation with each other, allowed the illegal benefit through the forgery of 7500 m2 of land in Bëxulle by the citizen KA, who then sold it for 10,000,000 ALL.

Based on the investigative actions, the statements received, the evidence collected and the expertise conducted, the prosecution came to the conclusion that the citizen KA has committed the crime of forgery with serious consequences for third parties. Through forged documents, he was provided with an ownership certificate for the 7500m2 property in Bërxulë and then in 2020 he sold it for a profit of 10,000,000 ALL.

In the same way, the investigations showed that the defendants, citizens YM, KB and AL, committed the criminal offense of 'Abuse of duty' after performing actions contrary to the law. These employees, with their actions and inactions, have violated the interests of third parties due to the considerable economic damage that has come to them as a result of the illegal alienation of their property.

The UN citizen, who from July 2011 to September 2015 held the position of Head of the Land Protection and Management Office, in the Municipality of Bërxulë, interacting with other former officials, among them the former mayor of the municipality and the employee another, compiled documents for the registration of property in the name of the KA citizen without verifying the documentation.

At the request of the prosecution, 7500m2 of land obtained with forged documents has been seized./ CNA
