Member of a criminal group arrested at the entrance to Albania

As a result of detailed interviews conducted at the entry/exit of Albania, with the objective of stopping citizens who attempt to move illegally, while they are wanted, the Rinas Border Police services in cooperation with the Economic and Financial Crime Investigation Sector at the Criminal Police Department established that citizen GS, 57 years old, intended to enter Albania, while being wanted, after the Criminal Court of Kosovo has assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Smuggling of goods for which excise duty is paid or with full or partial suspension of customs or excise duties", committed within the framework of a structured criminal group.

Specialists from the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Sector of the DPSS executed the security measure set by the Criminal Court for the 57-year-old.

Meanwhile, the procedural materials were referred to SPAK.

Controls against illegalities at the border and attempts to move illegally continue, alongside work to manage the flow and provide a prompt and ethical police service./ CNA
