The coded police operation "Midnight" is finalized, thanks to which various smuggled food and industrial goods were seized.  

The Blues inform that they have handcuffed the 37-year-old with the initials EG, a resident of Fier, who was the driver of the bus that transported the smuggled goods from Greece to Albania.

At the entrance of the RSH, at the Kakavijë Border Crossing Point, the police services have checked the second line, an Athens-Tirana bus, driven by citizen EG

From the control exercised in the bus trunk, various food and industrial goods were found (37 car tires, 200 liters of car oil, 5 bags of confections, 20 packs of cigarettes, 2 boxes of medical drugs, etc.), which were not accompanied by relevant documentation.

Meanwhile, the materials in charge of the citizen EG were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance Gjirokastër, for the criminal offenses "Smuggling with other goods", "Smuggling with goods for which excise duty is paid or with full or partial suspension from customs duties or excise" and "Smuggling with prohibited or restricted goods"./ BA – CNA.al
