"The biggest criminals for me are politicians"/ Artan Hoxha: Why
Journalist Artan Hoxha

Journalist Artan Hoxha has spoken about communications or meetings with persons involved in criminal groups.

In an interview, Hoxha stated that he is not afraid of criminals and in many cases he even had to negotiate with them.

The journalist said that he knows their tactics and has even been threatened and sent assassins, but this does not stop him from his profession and mission.

He said that he fights for his country and his children and that's why criminals don't scare him.

The journalist emphasizes that the biggest criminals, according to him, are the politicians.

"Unfortunately, I know people from the underworld. I didn't want to know them, but I was forced to. Even when I didn't want to know them, they found me because Albania is a small country. Sometimes I even had to negotiate with them. I know their tactics, threats, I have been in danger not once, but many times. I've also been started by contract killers.

I had to find that right balance and leave that famous joke from the movie "The Godfather" that says: It's nothing personal, it's a business matter. So I'm in this business not to mess with their businesses. So don't enter into an agreement with them. Because if you side with any of them, you are automatically at risk from the other group. Until then you are like a referee position in a volleyball match. You sit in a chair and watch the match, you take notes, you try to understand who is winning, you have to find where the intrigue is taking place, where the trick is taking place, you have to clarify the opinion. public, to expose the phenomenon, to make an appeal that must be reacted to. I have had endless opportunities to escape this country, to have a better life.

I emigrated very quickly in 1991. I had very good opportunities to raise my children in the countries of the European Union and not have this stress that I have. Everyone sees me on the street, I have my hands in my pockets. I don't even have a bodyguard. We are only protected by our profession and professionalism in the work we do. I move with my hands in my pockets, you can find me on the ring bus, in a taxi, I'm on the road precisely because I followed my profession. As I live in this country, I am raising my children in this country, I think we should fight for this country. People often ask me:

Aren't you afraid? If I had properties, I would take care of the properties I have, but I don't have them. The only property I have is the flag and I fight for that red and black flag. This is our country and no one but us, no ambassador, secretary of state, president of a foreign country will make this country. We will make this place. And so that my children are not governed tomorrow by the children of these masquerade politicians and bloodthirsty criminals, we must fight ourselves. I fight every day. I have grown up children, now they are at a delicate age that they have passed adolescence and I fight so that they don't run away. It is very difficult here, especially when you choose this path.

The biggest reward you get today is when you go out on the street, when you go to every corner of Albania, a man you have never met comes, respects you, even pays you for coffee, takes a photo. This is the greatest reward in the work we have chosen and I strongly believe that we can and will make Albania. I fight to make this situation with criminals alarming so that we intervene quickly, to protect this touristic Albania. They don't decide for our country, we decide. We must face evil. Between organized crime and politicians, the biggest criminals to me are the politicians. But if it wasn't for this political class, we wouldn't have this criminality", said the journalist./ CNA
