An Albanian wanted since 2015 has been handcuffed in Greece.

It is about the citizen with the initials VD, who was stopped by the Greek police for control in Malevizi of Irakleos, while he was driving a car belonging to a tourist agency.

The authorities of the neighboring country have evidenced that the vehicle did not have a driving license, while the Albanian presented himself with a different identity, that of an EL citizen.

After the verification, it turned out that the documentation was fake, and for this he was accompanied to the police station, where he confessed his true identity.

The verifications showed that the Albanian was wanted for "premeditated murder remaining in the attempt" and "unauthorized possession of combat weapons and ammunition", since June 2015, for an event that occurred on November 25, 2014.

Meanwhile, the second EL identity results in criminal records. According to the data, he was arrested on May 26, 2023 in Agio Nikolao Lisithiou with 10 grams of cocaine and on October 22, 2023 he was prosecuted for sexual abuse of a 23-year-old Greek woman.

The Greek authorities have already started the procedures for the extradition of the Albanian./ CNA
