Fier incinerator/ GJKKO Appeal on December 19 will announce the decision for Bllako, Koka and Zoto

The judicial review in the Special Appeal for the Fieri incinerator has ended.

For the defendants of the Fier Incinerator, the decision will be announced in the Court of Appeal on December 19. Defense arguments are presented today at the session.

The First Degree convicted Lefter Koka, Alqi Bllakon, Klodian Zoto and 12 other defendants for the affair. The former Minister of Environment was sentenced to 6 years and 8 months in prison, Klodian Zoto to 8 years, while the former General Secretary in the Ministry of Environment Alqi Blako was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in prison, as a result of the change of charge.

SPAK for Alqi Bllakon demanded 7 years in prison, but he did not receive the acquittal for the charge of "abuse of the duty of a high state functionary" and the criminal offense was reclassified as "abuse of the duty of an official performing a public duty".
