Convicted by Italian authorities/42-year-old arrested for extradition

Police have arrested citizen Vuksa Gjoni at the border, a person sentenced by Italian authorities to 6 years and 8 months in prison for wounding.

The 42-year-old was arrested with the aim of being extradited to Italy. This citizen was declared internationally wanted after the Milan Court of Appeal sentenced him to 6 years and 8 months in prison for the criminal offense of "Wounding", provided for by the Italian Criminal Code.    

"Sentenced by Italian authorities to 6 years and 8 months in prison for wounding, the 42-year-old is captured by the Border Police and arrested for extradition purposes."   

The Border Police Services at the Hani i Hotit BCP, as a result of increased measures and the exchange of information with Interpol Tirana, have apprehended at the exit and arrested for extradition purposes the citizen:   

Vuksan Gjoni (Guri), 42 years old, resident of Shkodra. 

This citizen was declared an international wanted person after the Milan Court of Appeal sentenced him to 6 years and 8 months in prison for the criminal offense of "Wounding", provided for by the Italian Criminal Code," the police statement said./ CNA
