As part of the "Bankrupt" operation, the Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Section of the Elbasan DVP, in cooperation with the Prosecution, executed the decision of the Elbasan Court, issued on 02.06.2025, for:

-assignment of the security measure "Arrest in prison", for:

citizen AK, 40 years old, who was arrested by the services of Police Station No. 4, Tirana;

Italian citizen GL, 60 years old, who was captured at the Rinas border checkpoint, on the exit from Albania;

citizen ZK, 27 years old, all three of whom hold the position of administrators of entities;

- the imposition of the security measure "House arrest" for citizen ES, 31 years old, an economist by profession, for the fourth time for the criminal offenses "Non-payment of taxes and duties", "Induced bankruptcy", "Fraud", "Abuse of powers" and "Hiding income";

-imposition of preventive seizure on 7 entities (fabricators) and 12 of their bank accounts.

Investigations suspect that these citizens collaborated to bankrupt 7 fabricators in order to avoid taxes and duties.

Investigations are ongoing to identify and bring to justice other citizens implicated in this criminal activity./ CNA
