Sentenced to 20 years in prison/ Alket Hatija's assets are confiscated

Some immovable assets that have benefited from the criminal activity of the citizen Alket Hatija, sentenced to 20 years in prison by the Italian judicial authorities, for drug trafficking, are confiscated.

The Sector for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes of DVP Durrës, in cooperation with the Agency for the Administration of Confiscated and Seized Properties, within the police operation coded "Confiscation", has executed the decision of the Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime, for the confiscation of some immovable assets, which this citizen had registered in the name of himself and his family members, specifically: 1 area plot of land, 1 garage and 1 apartment in Durrës, as well as 1 apartment in Kavajë.

Citizen Alket Hatija, during the period 2003-2004, has carried out the criminal activities of possession, sale and trafficking of the narcotic substance heroin, from Albania to Italy. He has trafficked from Albania to Italy, with his associates, through international transport vehicles, large amounts of drugs (about 10 kg of heroin for each case)./ CNA
