Accused of property alienation / GJKKO sends the file of the former mayor of Lezha for trial

The Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime has passed for trial the file of the former mayor of Lezha, Fran Frrokaj, as well as 10 other officials accused of alienating property. GJKKO also accepted the summary judgment.

Investigations into the alienation of properties in the area of ??Rana i Hedhun in Shengjin started in 2017. The prosecution managed to prove that the 18 defendants had alienated 234,548 square meters of state land in Rana.

The former mayor of Lezha, Fran Frrokaj, was sentenced by final decision to 3 years in prison for abuse of office and alienation of property at "Rana e Hedhun" in Shengjin.

 Fran Frrokaj was investigated in a free state, and in September 2020, the First Instance sentenced him to 4 years in prison, but the Appeal of Shkodra, with today's decision, decided to reduce his sentence to 3 years.
