Criminal group selling firearms is hit/ Two arrested in Kamëz, one wanted

A criminal group selling firearms was targeted as part of Operation "Members" in Kamëz. As a result of the investigation, 3 members of this group were identified, two of whom were arrested and one was declared wanted.

It is reported that investigations are ongoing to fully document the criminal activity of these citizens, identify and capture other citizens involved in the group.

The police operation codenamed "Members" is finalized after 3 months of investigations using proactive methods.

A criminal group selling firearms is hit.

Investigations have identified 3 members of this group. 2 of them have been arrested, 1 is wanted.

2 firearms, pistols and combat ammunition, suspected of being sold in Tirana, were seized.

As a result of investigations conducted using proactive methods, over the course of 3 months, by Crime Investigation specialists of Police Station No. 5, under the direction of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, the operation codenamed "Members" has been finalized. Within the framework of this operation:

- citizens BJ, 29 years old and Xh. Sh., 60 years old, both residents of Kamëz, were detained, to whom the Court of Tirana has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison";

-SC, 29 years old, resident of Kamëz, was declared wanted.

Investigations suspect that these citizens were members of a group that sold firearms in Tirana. Investigations are ongoing, led by the Prosecutor's Office, to fully document the criminal activity of these citizens, and to identify and apprehend other citizens involved in the group.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. /CNA
