As part of the "Coordination" operation, 1,881 suspected cannabis seedlings were found in the village of Çërrile in Mallakastër. The officers have arrested the two suspected perpetrators, who were caught red-handed watering the cannabis seedlings.

The services of the Mallakastë Police Commissariat, as a result of continuous checks and investigations carried out with proactive methods following the police operation codenamed "Coordinates", uncovered a case of attempted cultivation of narcotic plants.

During the checks, in the village of Çërrile, the services of the Mallakastër Police Commissariat found a plot with 1881 suspected cannabis sativa narcotic seedlings.

During the intervention by the Police services, in the plot, citizens AS, 53 years old, resident of Greshicë, and E. Sh., 34 years old, resident of Çërrila, were caught red-handed watering narcotic plants, who were arrested for the criminal offense of "Cultivation of narcotic plants".

In connection with this case, the village headman, citizen IS, 63 years old, was criminally prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".

Also, following the investigative actions, criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen MZ, 44 years old, resident of Ballsh, where during the search of the apartment, a sporting weapon, 12,400 euros, 400 pounds and around 900,000 new lek were found on this citizen, which are suspected of being used in this criminal activity.

The narcotic seedlings were destroyed by burning.
