Six thefts in two days/ 4 people arrested, accomplice sought

The Saranda police have cracked down on a criminal group that was committing thefts from vehicles and homes. As a result, 6 cases of thefts that occurred last week have been documented.

The Saranda Blues have identified the 5 members of this group, 4 of whom have been arrested and another is wanted.

It is suspected that these citizens, in collaboration with each other, committed burglaries in homes and vehicles.

As part of this operation, 1 vehicle suspected of being used to commit thefts, as well as suspected stolen laptops and cell phones, were seized.

Intensive investigative and operational actions to crack down on a criminal group that was committing burglaries, both in homes and vehicles.

The operation codenamed "Focus" is finalized. 6 cases of burglary, in vehicles/apartments, were solved and documented during the past week.

The 5 members of the group that committed the thefts are identified. 4 of them are arrested and handcuffed, and efforts are underway to apprehend the accomplice.

A laptop and cell phone, suspected of being stolen, were seized, as well as 1 vehicle that was suspected of being used to commit the thefts.

As a result of intensive investigative and operational work carried out by the services of the Saranda Police Commissariat, to crack down on a criminal group that committed thefts in apartments and vehicles, the operation codenamed "Focus" was finalized. Within the framework of this operation, the following citizens were arrested:

-BA, 27 years old, BC, 32 years old and ED, 30 years old, all three residents of Tirana and Sh. D., 33 years old, resident of Durrës.

Also, citizen O. Sh., 39 years old, resident of Fier, was declared wanted.

Investigations suspect that these citizens, in collaboration with each other, committed burglaries in homes and vehicles.

During the period 25.06.2026-27.06.2026, these citizens, in collaboration with each other, in different areas of Saranda, stole significant amounts of money, laptops, tablets, valuables and personal documents, in 5 vehicles whose windows were broken, and in 1 apartment.

Work continues to capture the wanted citizen and to uncover other thefts that may have been committed by this criminal group.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
