Accidents in the country/ INSTAT publishes alarming figures

The Institute of Statistics, based on its data, informs that during the first quarter of this year, January 1 - March 31, 263 road accidents were registered out of 285 accidents that occurred during the first quarter of 2022.

The number of accidents has decreased by 7.1%, but what is noticeable from the published data is the increase in accidents caused by pedestrians with an increase of 41.7% compared to 2022.

During the month of March, 91 road accidents were registered as a result of which 118 people were injured.

The highest number of accidents in this period was committed by the 25-34 age group, accounting for 30.8% of the total number of accidents.

The day of the week with the most accidents is Friday, while Saturday is recorded as the day with the lowest number of accidents.
